CHICKEN SALAD @ LENA LATIN GRILL Lena Latin Grill (Midtown West, Latin, $$) 34 W 35th St(btwn 5th Ave & Ave Of The Americas) New York, NY 10001 RATING: MUST TRY! Hands down my favorite salad ever. Like Chipotle, you choose your base, your meats and then the toppings/dressing. For my salad, I have it with toasted almonds, avocado and topped with pico de gallo dressing. The chicken is cooked to perfection, moist and succulent. The almonds add a crunch and the greens are always fresh! You don’t get those browned leaves like at some other places. If you’re feeling hungry, order a side of yuca fries and tostones.  TIP: For those who are health conscious or simply vegeterian, I’ve heard from many that their fish and tofu options are delicious!

It’s ice cream sandwich heaven! If you have room for another dessert, give their “freshly filled” vanilla eclairs a try too - I’m drooling just thinking about it!

Remembering 9/11

It still seems as if it were only yesterday. A day that reminds us to love and be a little kinder each day; because life is unexpected and too short to be wasted on anything besides LOVE. To all those we lost, risked their lives and were affected, we will always remember and know that together we now stand stronger than we did ten years ago today.

Well, look no more! The S&A dip here is out of this world and the pita bread and olive oil-ed bread, amazing!  Penelop is one of my favorite places and it comes HIGHLY recommended. A great spot for lunch or brunch on the weekend. They have a great selection of dishes. Give their chicken meatballs salad a try. Less heavy than meatballs but still a party for your taste buds.

Penelop is one of my favorite places and it comes HIGHLY recommended. A great spot for lunch or brunch on the weekend. They have a great selection of dishes. Give their chicken meatballs salad a try. Less heavy than meatballs but still a party for your taste buds.

How could you deny it? In addition to that, it’s delicious, with just the right amount of foam that stays on top (unless you want to mix it in). Great place to catch up over a cup of joe with a friend or a casual drink with an aquaintance. Oh and there’s plenty of seating on the main and bottom floor. And free wifi for you that work on the go!
